Predictable ResultsA Midwest steel facility was forced to ban one of its industrial service cleaning contractors from their facility due to a tar spill into the Detroit river and repeat violations in the OSHA S001 safety regulations.
Inland Industrial Services Group, LLC (Inland) had the experienced work force and required equipment to seamlessly replace the onsite industrial service company. Inland got the call and had 15 separate work crews and a fleet of equipment on location within 12 hrs.
Inland’s extensive knowledge and familiarity with the steel mill environment contributed to its ability to provide over 60 trained and qualified personnel including operators, laborers, crew leaders, supervisors and safety.
Adding to the complexity of the situation and environment, the US Coast Guard and state representatives from the EPA were onsite overseeing the clean up procedure as well as monitoring the new work schedule.
The tar spill was contained, remediated, and properly disposed of with limited environmental impact to the surrounding area. The cleanup was in accordance with all state regulations and under the approval of the US Coast Guard.
The facility based crews that were assigned to routine maintenance work performed flawlessly. All Inland employees were in compliance with all site safety regulations, and are dedicated to continued excellence at the plant level.
Inland was given recognition for their innovation and expertise as well as the rapid mobilization of both the ER spill team and the industrial service crews that replaced the incumbent provider of daily services.
